Every Uniq Socks piece is crafted with intention — from our OEKO-TEX® certified cotton and organic bamboo to our luxury alpaca blends and delicate sheers. Each item is hand-inspected to meet our standards of comfort, craftsmanship, and design. We want your experience to feel effortless from the moment you order to the moment you wear them.

If something isn’t quite right, our customer care team is here to support you with clarity, care, and respect for your time.

The First Pair Guarantee

Your first pair should feel exceptional. If you are trying Uniq Socks for the first time and are not completely in love, please contact us within 30 days of delivery. Where approved, we may offer a refund or store credit without requiring the worn pair to be returned.

Limit: One First Pair Guarantee claim per customer.

Change-of-Mind Returns (30 Days)

For all other eligible orders, we offer change-of-mind returns within 30 days of delivery on selected styles in our Everyday Essentials collection, including bamboo, cotton, and alpaca designs.

To be eligible for a change-of-mind return, items must be:

  • unworn
  • unused
  • unwashed
  • in original condition
  • with all tags attached
  • in original packaging (including any branded bands, pouches, or boxes)

These details form part of the product experience and help us ensure every pair meets our standards. Items that do not meet these conditions may not be accepted for change-of-mind returns.

Original shipping fees are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns. A flat $9.95 return shipping fee applies to approved change-of-mind refunds.

Hygiene & Non-Returnable Items

To ensure the highest quality and safety for every customer, we maintain strict hygiene standards. Due to the intimate, delicate, and hygiene-sensitive nature of certain styles, we are unable to accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges once an item has been tried on, worn, or removed from its original packaging (excluding the First Pair Guarantee, where applicable), unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

  • Size Guide: Please refer to our size guidance before purchasing. If you are between sizes in our designer tights or sheer hosiery, we generally recommend sizing up for the best comfort and to preserve the integrity of the fabric.
  • Hosiery, Tights & Sheer Socks: Strictly non-returnable for change of mind if opened, tried on, or worn.
  • Gift Cards: Non-refundable, except where required by law.
  • Sale / Final Sale Items: Items marked as final sale are not eligible for change-of-mind returns or exchanges unless required by law.

Everyday Essentials

Our bamboo and cotton styles are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, meaning they have been tested for harmful substances in accordance with STANDARD 100 requirements.

Bundles, Gift Sets & Promotional Offers

Bundle offers, multi-buy promotions, and curated gift sets must be returned in full to be eligible for a change-of-mind refund, unless otherwise required under Australian Consumer Law.

If only part of a bundle or promotion is returned, any refund may be adjusted to reflect the full-price value of the items retained.

Promotional gifts and complimentary items are not eligible for exchange, refund, or store credit for change of mind. If your return means the original order no longer qualifies for the promotion, the complimentary item will also need to be returned.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we will make it right in accordance with your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Please contact us as soon as possible but no longer than 7 days after delivery by emailing returns@uniqsocks.com.au with:

  • your order number
  • clear photos of the item
  • photos of the packaging (if relevant)
  • a brief description of the issue

Our team will review your request in line with Australian Consumer Law and, where appropriate, arrange a repair, replacement, store credit, or refund. Where required by law, we will also cover reasonable return shipping costs.

Items showing signs of wear, damage caused by handling, or failure to follow care instructions may not be considered faulty. Each item is carefully inspected before dispatch to ensure it reflects our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Delicate Materials & Preserving Your Pieces

Some Uniq Socks designs feature fine sheers, lace, embellishments, crystals, or intricate knits. These pieces are created as delicate luxury items and require gentle handling.

To preserve their beauty, we recommend taking care when putting them on and avoiding contact with sharp objects such as jewellery, rings, or long nails, as these can snag delicate knits.

Natural softening, movement, or subtle wear of trims over time is not considered a manufacturing fault. Damage caused by friction, stretching, snagging, incorrect washing, or general wear and tear is also generally not considered a manufacturing fault, but we will always review any concerns in line with Australian Consumer Law.

Sizing & Fit

We encourage you to review size guides and product details carefully before ordering, and to contact us if you would like personalised sizing guidance.

For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns for incorrect sizing on sheer socks, statement sheers, tights, or stockings that have been opened, tried on, or worn, unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

Eligible Everyday Essentials may be returned for change of mind within 30 days if unused and in original condition, subject to this policy.

How to Arrange a Return

We aim to make the process seamless. To request a return, please email returns@uniqsocks.com.au with:

  • your order number
  • the item(s) you wish to return
  • the reason for return (for example, change of mind or a product issue)

If your item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please also include clear photos of the item and packaging.

To ensure a smooth experience, please wait for our confirmation and instructions before sending items back. This process does not affect any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

If an item returned for change-of-mind does not meet our conditions, we may be unable to process the refund and may return the item to you.

Refund Processing Time

Once your return reaches our warehouse, please allow up to 2 business days for inspection.

  • Approval: If your return is approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method.
  • Bank Processing: Funds may take up to 10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Exchanges

We do not offer guaranteed direct exchanges. For the fastest experience, we recommend requesting an approved return and placing a new order for your preferred style or size. Our team is always happy to help you select the best option.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights, guarantees, or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation. Where a product does not meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the nature of the issue.
